At SMARTCharts, our passion for therapeutic rehabilitation is personal. Our founder and CEO's experience supporting her mother after her brain aneurysm and stroke inspired her to create a tool that would support, inform, and motivate patients and their families. As an actuary turned speech-language pathologist, she knew the power of data, knowledge, and advocacy but wished there was an easier way to access and visualize vital progress information.

This frustration led to the creation of the earliest form of SMARTCharts. She built Excel spreadsheets to automate patient notes but, more importantly, make progress visible and tangible to patients. From these humble beginnings, SMARTCharts has grown into a platform that helps healthcare organizations reduce paperwork, increase productivity, and empower patients through easily accessible clinical information.
